Whenever I visit a new city I want to go to the highest place where I can have an aerial view. If going to an observatory deck is not possible I would be happy to settle in the rooftop of the hotel that I am staying. The coolest rooftop that I’ve been so far is that of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (see my old post here) maybe because of their famous infinity pool.
When my friends and I went to Melbourne we stayed in Wyndham hotel since I needed to use my club owner’s points before it expired. It was good enough for me because they have a good rooftop area with a nice pool and wooden floorboards. It turned out better that we went on the winter time because we had the pool all to ourselves. No, we didn’t swim of course but we took a crazy amount of photos to our hearts’ content. And I even got to wear my blue maxi and furry vest 🙂
We went up on our last day before heading to the airport. As you can see the air had that fresh morning mist and I had that newly awaken look too 🙂 I wouldn’t have achieved that aura if I had to walk or travel to get into that destination :))
The hotel wasn’t that high but the view was not bad especially when you look down which was both scary and exhilarating.
After shooting in the rooftop I didn’t want to get changed just yet so we snapped more photos in the lounge of our floor. They had this cute waiting area that overlooked a little side street.
As for my outfit, I brought this maxi in case we will go somewhere that requires a semi-formal attire. But I didn’t want to waste mileage so I wore it for my rooftop escapade. The fur vest was very warm and luxe that I didn’t want to take it off. Good thing that I brought accessories that went well with the outfit too. Well, a girl had to do what a girl had to do 🙂
