The Joys of Spring Time

I’m a self-confessed summer lover because it’s the perfect weather to go to the beach but nothing compares to the beauty that Spring time can give. In my street alone, I can see many different flowering shrubs and trees blooming right now and they add colour and beauty to my neighbourhood. But the most exciting thing is the several flower festivals all around my state that are happening in the beginning of Spring.

I’ve been to three floral displays this year, the first was the cherry blossoms, second was this Tulip festival in Bowral Corbett Gardens and the 3rd is still coming up in my next post. We actually missed the festival itself in Corbett Gardens since we went there a week after it ended but we still got to see this massive tulip display. There were other flowers like pansies, bluebells and orchids but the tulips took the centre stage.

Seriously, who doesn’t want to see these beautiful blooms especially when it’s a free entry, I regret I didn’t see it last year or the previous years. Can you believe this was only a side trip to where we were going that weekend? We’re actually heading to Canberra for the Floriade which is the largest flower festival in Southern Hemisphere but Bowral was on the way so we decided to stop. And it was a wonderful side trip ever.

When I heard my sister at the last minute that we’re stopping by Bowral Corbett Gardens, I went back to my room to quickly change my top into something floral. I only saw this dark floral blouse when I opened my closet so I just grabbed and went. I wore my new pair of boots with leopard print in the back part, I’ve been living on these boots these days. These are very comfortable and from an Aussie brand called Shoes of Prey.

Do you like tulips? Which colour do you like the most? Mine is the combination of pink and yellow, aren’t they super pretty? So I’m saving it for last.
