What we always look forward on the summer months are the outing activities we can do and the beach is surely the top destination. This time my family headed South to the third largest city in NSW. Wollongong is always dear to me as hubby and I frequented this place prior to having kids when visiting a place was purely a leisure and was only retained in the memory meaning back to the time I didn’t take photos 🙂
Yes, that era existed in my life, unbelievable isn’t it haha. What I remember that time was the white lighthouse on top of the hill, the canons near it and the sprawling beach below. Fast forward to this day with kids and digital cameras in tow, I’ve captured this picturesque seaside city in lens and share it here in my space. Although the sun was playing hide and seek that day, we certainly had a great time. My sis and niece prepared a full picnic meal for everyone while I only brought my homemade chunky walnut chocolate chip cookies, so unfab of me 🙁
Well, no matter what I bring from home my boys would always seem to find a fish and chips shop nearby. I guess that is their idea of what a picnic should be. So when I tried to feed my toddler with hot chips these white feather friends smelled the aroma and flocked around me. I was surprised actually, it’s just good I was wearing a white dress to be colour coordinated with them haha.
After lunch, we headed down to the beach where we found several bluebottle jellyfish on the sand. So we changed direction and opted for the ocean pool. Even though we cannot build sandcastles, yet it was safer for us especially for the children.
It was one of my niece’s birthday that day too and we had a watermelon party right by the water which made a great colour contrast with my white swimsuit. I wore this one-piece underneath my white eyelet dress for convenience and coverage since the dress was quite see-through.
Was so much fun, all that’s missing was the sun 🙂 There may not be blue skies and waters in my photos but it created a dreamy white and grey palette for this post.
