I know I’m late with my post this week, it was a long weekend and my family and I went in and out of town. Spending time with them was priceless though I’m out of budget now I’m still glad I’ve made several photo shoots for the blog. One of the events we went was Vivid Sydney which is occurring for 3 weeks during winter in the central part of the city.
Every year there are different concepts and designs and sometimes new places are added. This festival has attracted millions of visitors to Sydney. I can’t blame them as I am always in awe every time I see it when I come out from work.
The newly added features that I like the most this time are the rays of lights placed next to the Harbour Bridge and the Sydneyland lighting in the Royal Botanic Garden.
And who would miss the Opera House, when you think of Sydney you think of the Opera House. Although the back part is not lit as seen on the fourth photo below, it still looks grand in the shadows 🙂
As for my outfit, I guess I’ve learned the art of layering. We were so lucky it wasn’t so cold that night as I was able to take off my woolen jacket. But I was in layers still with a black knitted long sleeve tee underneath and tweed vest and skirt suit on top. I also had to wear a knee high boots for that extra warmth. And who wouldn’t notice this blinking dotted headband. I got this from a booth selling neon merchandise.
So if you intend to visit Sydney in winter you can schedule it in time to catch Vivid. For this year, it will end on Friday the 17th of June.
