By now you should know I’m a high tea addict 🙂 Any excuse for me to indulge on sweets, bond with a friend and wear my most loved dress at that moment I will do in a heartbeat. And this time I wore my stash of the H&M Kenzo collection.
This H&M collaboration with Kenzo was a jungle-inspired line featured with a mix of animal prints bomber jackets and skirts, graphic dresses and jumpers and boots all in bold, neon colours. The famous tiger stripes was realised in clashing brights from knee-high sock boots to beanies and faux fur coats. And lucky for me I got this animal stripes in pink at least.
Like any other collab of H&M with a major designer, the launch day was swarmed with shoppers who were eager to grab as much as they can. Some of them camped outside the shop very early. As for me, I went there only at lunch time and most of the coveted pieces were already gone. I queued up and had only 10 minutes to decide and can only pick up to 5 items. I know, so harsh of them. With 2 minutes left I hardly had anything on my basket that I really like but the reversible kimono that even the small size was huge for me, socks, backpack and sling bag. I wanted badly a dress or a sweatshirt without the neon colour print and at the last minute someone had put back this pink stripes dress.
I know, it was meant to be mine and although the fabric is too heavy for our coming summer season it was still perfect when I wore that day we had the high tea. The high tea was at Park Hyatt Sydney with a magnificent view of the harbour. My friend Ceily (who took my awesome photos) and I were having a blast especially that we are both sweet tooth.
I paired it with a sky high sandals with a pink weave material that suits the dress to a tee. And this black patent bag with a flower design has given me the girly fun look that I wanted to achieve.
