It maybe Autumn now in Sydney but we never run out of beautiful blooms, in fact I visited this magnificent place in the heart of the city last Friday. Pollination is a free floral display at The Calyx in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
This impressive display features a large collection of plants and flowers showcasing the role colour plays during pollination. I was attracted to the 6 x 50 metre green wall with the Pollination word framed out in flowers and plants. Said to be the largest interior green wall in the Southern Hemisphere, this pretty darn creation was impressive.
There are also garden beds of vibrant coloured orchids, daisies, gardenias and lilies with little benches scattered around. I honestly had trouble deciding which photos to show in this post as everything was beautiful and instagrammable. Thanks to my lovely friend Ellen who was my companion for the day and my photographer. She’s a darl, we had so much fun walking around and finding an awesome café to chill afterwards.
The air is cool now in Sydney and I’m starting to wear layers but I had to take off my jacket inside this greenery. I was wearing off the shoulder floral dress to complement with the location of course and flats so I can walk around easily. Floral dresses are my go-to outfit during Spring, Summer or Fall especially when I visit a garden.
And what’s a garden without bees? These giant pollinators were an added attraction and really made my photos stunning. Pollination is running until the 15th of August so catch it while you can. It’s inside this artistic white building called The Calyx.
I have another unboxing video uploaded in my Youtube channel, I just want to show it here since I plan to wear this bag on my next post. It’s only a 1 minute vid, hope you’ll watch it.
