Two weeks ago, I was invited to attend Woolworths Mobile Happy Family Breakfast event. It was about e-safety and the importance of taking back control on valuable family-time, all whilst being tucked into a delicious breakfast. It was my first time attending an event with other mum Instagrammers and influencers and I was so excited about it.
The event was held in Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool located in the east side of Sydney Royal Botanic Garden and right next to the harbour. I was allowed to bring someone and I was ecstatic to ask my friend who’s also a mum and was visiting Sydney at that time. Mel Watts, aka The Modern Mumma, facilitated the event and shared her own experiences. There was also a panel of cyber-security experts and clinical psychologist.
Woolworths is one of the biggest supermarkets in Australia and it’s where hubby shops every Saturday for our groceries. Woolworths Mobile, a division of Woolworths, has a Happy Family Mobile Plans that makes it easy to keep your family connected with flexible plans that help protect your kids online.
The event was refreshing as it’s a new experience for me and at the same time informative and useful. I love the colourful table set-up and the food of course 🙂 I picked the Mushroom bruschetta, ricotta, smashed pea, soft boiled egg on grain toast for my breakfast. We were given a goodie bag afterwards with a mobile sampler pack, chocolate bar, a digital parenting book and a quiz game.
I was wearing a white blazer and colour block pink/orange skirt and flats because I had to walk a fair bit of distance to the venue. It was really fun and worth my time, the view made it more memorable. If you get invited to events like this just go for it and you would be surprised how enjoyable it could be.
