Bloggers Breakfast with Robert Timms

Breakfast invitation cannot be turned down, says I 🙂 True enough, this is my second bloggers breakfast invite this year and of course I didn’t turn down either of them. Attending this kind of event is a refreshing confirmation of my blogging passion that I once was strongly committed to.

I must admit as the years go by, I don’t have that same intensity of passion towards blogging. The weekly publication has become a duty for me instead of a pleasure. I may still feel excited to think of a content and shoot numerous photos but it’s the writing and actual conceptualising that’s worn me down. So when you get invited to a blogger event may it be breakfast, product launch or a show I would say just go for it.

Few weeks ago, I attended a ‘Coffee & Success Secrets’ talk over breakfast in one of Sydney’s beautiful venues with a harbour view. I immediately said yes because it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other bloggers and try Robert Timms’ new coffee bag range.

What to wear to a bloggers event

It was held in Andrew Boy Charlton Pool beside Sydney Royal Botanic Garden where I went to my first blogger event. I just love this area though it’s a bit of a walk from my office but it is a scenic walk as you pass by huge varieties of Spring flowers in the garden.

The event was hosted by different media personalities, fitness and medical experts. I liked the topic as it revolved around the love for coffee. I don’t say I’m a coffee addict but I do love a good cup of coffee especially soy cappuccino and latte. But this coffee bag from Robert Timms was new to me. I settled for the medium roast as dark roast was too strong. It was indeed a good match with the huge breakfast that I chose from the menu. The fruit platter gave an explosion of colours that we needed in our table for beautiful photos.

We took home a bag with samples of Robert Timms coffee, a mug and an hourglass. I’ve been drinking the medium roast during weekends at the comfort of my kitchen.

On my way to work I passed by Botanic Garden and snapped some of the flowers in bloom like the paper daisies and wisteria. They were so irresistible that I had to stop and ask total strangers to take photos of me.

As for my outfit, I finally wore the first item that I shopped when I went to Canada quite recently. I bought this dress from Tommy Hilfiger at CrossIron Mills Outlet Mall in Calgary. I’m always attracted to the bold red and blue colours of this brand, I already had a backpack which is really cute. I just have to be careful not to be tempted to get every merchandise as they look appealing since red is my favourite colour.
